She is so happy!

I am so behind with making up pages of my grand children - this is such a cute photo of Zoey at five months. She is now nearly two years old.

I made an 8 x 8 page using Island Indigo card for the base and then paper from the Twitterpated DSP pack. The leaves and scrolls are Stampin' Up! Dies, the little flower is a SU punch and the white border is made from a Martha Stewart punch.

Apart from most of my photos looking very big on these pages, I love the 8 by 8 pages as I can find so many card sketches to use as layouts.  The banner is for the journalling when I decide what to put LOL!!

I thought I had better start on some birthday cards for our grandchildren for this year. This card is going to a little boy who loves his sport. He loves cricket best but I could not find a suitable stamp so soccer was the best I could do!! This is a digital stamp from Karens Doodles and I coloured it with Copic markers.

All the paper comes from a great pack of paper for boys cards from Echo Park.

Card: SU Whisper White, Daffodil delight and Echo Park DSP
Stamps: Karens Doodles digital, Wording from Inspired to Stamp
Other: Stars embossing folder, SU retired ribbon and SU star punch

No stamping - yikes!

Maybe I should have added a greeting somehow so I can say I stamped yesterday LOL! It was fun to make up this card though with the layering and adding ribbon etc.

I used my new Stampin' Up! organza roses - they come out so pretty when dyed. They come as vanilla colour and I pressed them on to a Blushing Bride inkpad and then spritzed them to blend the colour.

Card: Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss [retired], Blushing Bride,  Prima Tea-Thyme DSP

For You card

I have had this image for a while floating around so before it got lost in the stash, I used it!  Not much stamping to be seen here LOL! Just the little For You from Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Banners!

After I made the flower from Blushing Bride cardstock, I sponged around the edges with Regal Rose ink. It is most certainly not the best flower I have ever made!

Stamps: SU Itty Bitty Banners
Card: SU Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla and Basic Black
Ink: Regal Rose and Black
Other: Martha Stewart lattice punch, Memory Box scroll die, Doo Hickey leaf die, lace and twine from my stash.

Fishies

I always admire Michelle Zindorf's blog and how she can make such beautiful cards. I shy away from trying most of her techniques but gave this one a go. It is only half the card that Michelle's is but it was fun to follow her detailed instructions and I do love this fish stamp Thank you Michelle for all the inspiration you give us!

I am not good at brayering so I did more sponging . You can see those white lines outside the fish image. I will know for next time that I have to be very careful with filling the image in with the versamark pen and not go over the lines as that gets embossed and therefore resists any further colour.

Stamps: Stampin' Up! By The Tide and Layered Labels
Ink: SU Pool Party, Always Artichoke, Island Indigo, Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze and River Rock
Card: Pool Party, Whisper White, Basic Black
Other: SU brads and punches, large scalloped die, Island Indigo ribbon, black brads, cheesecloth and mesh ribbon from my stash.

New addition!

Here is a page I have made for our eighth grandchild. She was born on the 5th of this month and was less than a day old in this picture. I am determined to use up some of the huge stash of DSP I have and this stripe is from an old Stampin' Up! pack. I used a wheel to stamp the Pretty in Pink layer and ruffled up some seam binding to hide the join.

This is a 200 x 200 mms page to fit the Designer Printed Ring Album that will be available from the 1st February in the new SU  Seasonable Mini catalogue. The butterflies and leaves are dies and punches from SU and the wording has been die cut with a Tim Holtz strip die.

I will print more details around the white section. I plan to do another page now with a new born photo of her sister using paper from the same pack.

Winter Post

As I had put most of my Christmas challenge cards up for sale, I had to make more to send out to friends. Time was at a premium so I used lots of ideas from other people. This card was based on a lovely tag made by Linda at the Funkie Junkie. I did not have all that she had used but just substituted and am happy enough with the result.

The heart at the top was die cut from crinoline, then embossed around the edges with gold embossing powder as are the fine lines on the strip at the bottom, the holly leaves which I cut free hand, the frame for the circle wording and both wordings. Edges were sponged with Distress ink and the bow was coloured with the same DI. Under the strip of Crinoline is Music Tape from Tim Holtz.

Stamps: SU Winter Post, Greetings of the Season
Card: SU Very Vanilla
Ink: Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Versamark
Other: Judikins Egytian Gold Embossing Powder, SU gold embossing powder, seam binding, crinoline, SU embossing folder

Happy Christmas all!
